Even though I've moved on with my life and my career, and have a busy schedule with things that do not relate to Philmont or New Mexico, it is this place that shaped a lot of what I believe and how I feel and who I am.  Its not just this place and these mountains and these stars and these trees, but all of us  and this common bond that we share and these experiences that we've all had as we walked through these hills and sung our songs together and laughed together and cried together and remembering people that aren't with us any longer, that really makes Philmont an indelible part of us that will always stay with us.  Greg "Doc" Walker

The main purpose of this site will be to help those who served on the staff of the Philmont Volunteer Training Center (VTC) and the Philmont Training Center (PTC) stay in touch.  We also hope that it will be a vehicle for others to learn about the Training Center as a training experience, family experience, and work experience.

If you have never been on the staff enjoy!! And make sure you click on the link to the official PTC Site to learn about current programs. If you are, or were, lucky enough to serve as a member of the VTC/PTC staff we hope this connects you with some friends and those that have enjoyed a summer in Scouting Paradise before you.
